BACK IN ACTION!
Good morning everyone!!
It's been quite sometime since I've updated my blog! Time to get back at it.....
Some big news....
Last year Dennis and I sold our training facility to our partners so we could go on to work on other projects....We were in the process of building a new training facility in another city when our ex-partners decided that they no longer wanted to run the facility and that they would be leaving November 1st. Originally Dennis and I were a little upset about it, but after giving it some thought and discussing it over, we came to the realization that this was our baby and we needed to be there!
We ended up taking back our gym on October 18th...we shut down the gym for 3 days (October 19th, 20th and 21st) to renovate and give it a face lift. (It definitely needed it!...It really amazes me that in 1 year, something can become so run down and dirty...) Anyways, the renovations went really well...we ordered new equipment, new flooring, painted the entire facility, had a staff meeting with the trainers and by Monday we were back in business.
It was so nice to see so many smiling and friendly faces...Clients and trainers all seemed so happy. The energy in the gym was contagious!
Dennis and I are so happy that we are back in the gym full time and doing what we do best.....
We offer many programs/services:
One-on-one private training sessions
Small group training sessions (4-6)
Boot camp style conditioning camps
Sport Specific Training
Weight loss or Muscle gain programs
On-line training
Nutritional and supplement programs

MY GRANDPA-MAY HE REST IN PEACE
May my Grandpa rest in peace now...
He was an amazing man...full of life and always on the go. He loved to be surrounded by family and friends. We were blessed to have him in our lives....
He was a proud man and loved to share his hockey stories with Alex (my son-his great grandson)...he would occasionally have hockey memorbila to give Alex when we would go visit...Alex would love to hang out and discuss the upcoming season or the playoffs.
My grandpa would tell so many funny stories and he always had some great one liners...he always made everyone laugh with his very dry sense of humor...He was a strong man and never wanted to put anyone out or let anyone know he was in pain....I know he is no longer in pain, and is in a better place....I know we will be together again....
Defenceman Ellard O'Brien played two games with the Boston Bruins in 1955-56. He was gifted offensive player who put up impressive numbers in junior and the minors.
Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, O'Brien, played with the local Teepees of the OHA where he scored 58 goals in 1949-50. He began his pro career with the Boston Olympics of the EHL and the USHL's Tulsa Oilers before joining the Hershey Bears of the AHL. "Obie" spent eight years with the Bears and helped the team win the Calder Cup in 1958 and 1959. Along the way he played two games for the Bruins in 1955-56. He finished his career with two seasons in the AHLEHL before retiring in 1962.
In Memory of My Grandpa:
God Took Him To His Loving Home
God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’
He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend.
He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.
He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain,
God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain.
You will be missed today, tomorrow and always....(we will take care of Grama!)
Love you Grandpa

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
I hope you all had a great weekend! I'm sure many of you went out on Saturday night to celebrate this fun occasion! I spent the evening with my beautiful niece Riley. We had a little princess evening...lots of crafts, painting, eating, going for a walk and watching some fun movies....(she is only 3!)
On our walk we saw some really cool Halloween costumes and we walked through some neighborhoods that had really dressed up their homes. It was a ton of fun! Tonight I am going to take my little princess out for Halloween...Can't wait!
Enjoy your evening!!! Stay away from the candy.....eeeek!!!

OFFICIALLY RETIRED FROM FITNESS
This was a photo taken by the amazing photographer, Claus Willemar...
He captured many photos from my last and final fitness routine as I have officially retired from competing in Fitness at the Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid, Spain.
I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my family, especially my husband, Dennis and my son, Alex for their on-going support. I would like to extend a special thank you to Karen Phillips-KHP Designs, Mike Davies, Dr. Danielle Marr, TEAMOBRIEN FITNESS, Nancy Marr, the OPA/CBBF/IFBB for their guidance and support throughout my career. Most of all, I would like to thank the fans who have supported me and encouraged me along the way. It has been a wonderful journey...one that I will look back upon with the fondest memories. THANK YOU...xoxo
