Hi everyone!!
I hope you're all enjoying the weekend. I just got home from the gym. We had to work this morning and then I stayed and did an hour of cardio. It's very gloomy outside today and it keeps raining, so today will be a great day to start packing and doing house hold chores. Yuck!!
Well.......here's the update on our living situation....... We found another apartment in our neighborhood close to my son's school, so it worked out ok. Our new home is quite a lot smaller, but we decided to downsize a bit, save some extra money, focus on building our business and than when Alex is finished school (grade 8)next year, we'll decide what to do and where to live permantly. So, basically it's a one year plan. It's actually been fun packing. Alex and I started packing some of his things in his room and he's finally agreed to let go of some of his early childhood games and toys......willingly!!! He decided that another child less fortunate then himself, needs his things more. We packed up 3 huge bags of Alex's belongings and took them to a Goodwill. I was very pleased with his decision!! We looked through his baby pictures and his sentimental belongings.....boy it brought back soooooo many memories.
My training has been going very well. For the past few months my training has been intense, but we have been focusing on lifting heavier weights and really zoning in on my weaknesses. Tomorrow we kick it into gear focusing on more conditioning and working on routines.
We have added a new training partner into the mix. Jeff Joslin, is a 4 time World Karate Champion, Pan-America Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion, US Nationals Submissions Wrestling Champion, World Kobudo Federation World Jiu-Jitsu Champion and has won over 200 gold medals in Martial Arts Competitions. Jeff recently fought in a UFC Challenge fight in Montreal last weekend......his conditioning is deadly and I am hoping that with his guidance this will only enhance my physique and routine conditioning. It's a great team combination...I need the conditioning and he needs the weight training and strength conditioning...we will both leave the nutrition up to Dennis!!! (Jeff's fight will be televised on TSN Monday July 25th and will also be airing sometime in August on Spike TV)
We have been doing a lot more video work of my training sessions and will be doing more when I start training with Jeff. Dennis and I just bought some new camera equipment and will be able to do more frequent photoshoots, so closer to my show we will be doing 2-3 shoots a week...stay tuned!!
I guess I should get going.......... my pile of laundry just seems to be growing and growing, so I better get to it before the laundry room gets too busy.
Enjoy the rest of your day and have a great week!!
Love Mindi O
