2005 CHARLOTTE BULK NUTRITION PRO SHOW

Hi Everyone!!!
I just got back from North Carolina where I competed at the Charlotte Bulk Nutrition Pro show. This show was a HUGE success. Shannon Metaraud, Tres Bennett and the Bulk Nutrition Crew, did an amazing job putting this event together. Thank you!!!! We were totally spoiled: we were all provided with individual dressing rooms, an amazing Olympia caliber stage with jumbo-trons, lighting effects-(amazing for the routine rounds), and the behind the scenes crew were so organized and right on time. I am so happy that I competed at this event.

I placed 3rd overall and am extremely proud of my placing. (I didn't do a full depletion. I kept my water intake a little higher than usual and I kept my sodium intake a lot higher than usual. My focus is on the Olympia and I am looking forward to peaking for it.) I ended up winning both routine rounds and placing 5th in both physique rounds. All of the competitors looked incredible and the talent level was extremely high at this show. I was very pleased with the outcome!!!!

As I look back over my first year as an IFBB Pro, I feel like it's been like a Cinderella Story.
Only 6 weeks after earning my pro card, I made my pro debut at the 2004 South West USA Pro Cup and ended up winning every round, and the overall title. I was awarded the Horizon Award-(most promising new-comer) and qualified for the 2004 Fitness Olympia.
My second pro show was the biggest and most prestigious event in our industry...The FITNESS OLYMPIA!!! I placed 9th overall and it was a dream come true. I than went on to get an invite to the FITNESS INTERNATIONAL/ARNOLD CLASSIC. I placed 10th overall. I was voted Rookie of the year in Ironman Magazine and was awarded the CBBF-MVP title. I than made my way to New York to compete at the New York Pro Show, placing 6th overall and then competed two weeks ago at the Europa Super Show, placing 3rd overall and qualifying for the 2005 FITNESS OLYMPIA, and then placing 3rd overall at the 2005 Bulk Nutrition Pro show. For so many years I have dreamt of just becoming an IFBB FITNESS PRO....I had no idea that I would be given such a wonderful opportunity to compete amongst the most talented fitness competitors in the world. I feel so blessed for this opportunity.

I received some great news today!!! I made the cover and an interview with MUSCLEMAG (the Mexican issue). I will post the cover on my site once I receive the issue. Thanks to Photographer JC LOPEZ for making this happen!!! You're the best!!!!

I guess that's all the exciting news.........I have been getting a ton of workout video footage and a ton of photos that will soon be posted.

I will keep you all posted on my training and prep for the Olympia!!!

Thank you to my family, friends, and all of my fans for your constant support and encouragement....I appreciate it.

Have a great week.

Love Mindi O
