Hi everyone!!!I hope you're all doing well.....We have been pretty busy here....The weekend mini fitness camps are going really well. The group of ladies attending these camps are getting into shape really fast...the weekly progressions are amazing!!! It's really fun watching the ladies train hard and push one another to the next level. Dennis and I truly enjoy working with each and every one of you!!!Dennis and I have also started working with young hockey players....most of the clients that we have in these classes are between the ages of 12-18yrs. Our first group of guys (12-14yrs) are all triple A players and are in phenominal shape!!! Our oldest group of guys will start their classes at the end of May and we are really looking forward to training them! My trip to Las Vegas was so amazing. Mike and Rikki were very accomadating and treated me like the queen. My first day there it rained a little, so while we waited for the rain to clear, we did a lot of indoor photo/video work. My friend and fellow competitor, Teri Mooney was there when I arrived so we did some work together. She is sooooooo cool!!! When the rain finally cleared, Photographers, Mike and Lou took Teri and I out to Red Rock to do some video work and photos.....The scenery was absolutely beautiful ...it almost looked fake it was so unreal. While Teri was shooting, I was getting dressed in the car and while I was shooting Teri was doing an outfit change...it was wild! After our shoot at Red Rock, that evening Teri was supposed to fly back to NJ...unfortunately Teri had lost her wallet somewhere out in the desert....how horrible!!! All of Teri's identification and money were in her wallet and so without her ID, she would not be leaving Vegas...we called the airline and they said she would need to have some kind of ID to fly...we had to wait until the morning to go back to Red Rock to see if her wallet was turned in and we had to wait for Teri's boyfriend to fax or email a copy of her Birth Certificate and other id. What a mess....Teri was very calm...I was impressed...I would have totally freaked out!!!!The next morning Mike and I got up early and headed out to Red Rock....the info/tourist booth didn't open until 8am, so Mike and I had a good 2-3 hours to shoot some good pics....It was so peaceful out at Red Rock and I can't wait to see all the photos he took....At 8am, we headed to the info centre and they said nothing had been turned in....poor Teri!!!When Mike and I got back to the Herbiceps Mansion, Rikki had said that the Red Rock info centre had called and someone had found Teri's wallet in the women's washroom!!!! Her wallet even had all her id, plus all of her money and credit cards.....WOW!!!! Imagine that....I was amazed!!!! Teri flew home that afternoon...Rikki took Teri to the airport and Mike and I shot the rest of the day. The weather was perfect.....hot, and sunny!!! That evening Mike, Rikki and Lou took me out to dinner for my birthday. We went to the Paris Buffet. It was sooooooooo delicious...I felt like such a pig...I ate everything in site!!!! When we got back to the house, I decided to try the webcam. It was quite interesting, but really fun. I had the opportunity to finally socialize with some of my website members and fans....it was really fun!!Wednesday morning I got up way earlier than everyone else in the house and went for a long power walk. (while I was there, I did go for walks whenever I could) The neighbourhood that we were in was beautiful and very peaceful. I could see me one day moving to Vegas...I just fell in love with the city!!! When I got back to the house, i ate breakfast, and then got ready for another day of shooting. We did a lot more in door work and I made another appearance on the webcam. Later in the evening, Mike and Rikki took me out for sushi and then took me to the airport. What an experience....my week in Vegas was amazing and very productive....can't wait for all of you to see the pics and video footage.I want to wish all TEAMOBRIEN ATHLETES for doing an amazing job at the Mississauga South Central Bodybuilding, Fitness & Figure Championships last weekend!! Hi everyone!!!I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My weekend was extremely busy and today I feel like a bag of poop!!! I am exhausted!! (Toughen up!!!)Last Wednesday my son Alex attended his "first" big trip away from home without us....The grade 8 classes from my son's school went on a two day trip to Ottawa City! Alex was so excited to go...They left for Ottawa early Wednesday morning and didn't arrive home until late Friday evening....I missed him sooooooooo much while he was away. I thought for sure he would try calling us, but he didn't even call once!!! He had a great time, spent most of his money, (on junk of course) and was extremely tired. Alex and his room-mates pulled an all nighter.....Alex was almost grey with a hint of green when we picked him up and all he wanted was his bed! He was so miserable and tired on Saturday. The day was a total write off for him....Dennis and I had to work all day on Saturday at our mini-camps and then off to the Stratford Festival City Championships. The show was a Jamor Productions event, which is always a huge success and events that I always love to attend. I met up with Doug Schneider to preview my newest DVD-All About Mindi-Part 1....So far I love what Doug has done with it.....It will be ready to hit the shelves in June!!! I will keep you all posted when it's ready to go.....A HUGE congratulations goes out to Cindy Gauthier who won the fitness division on the weekend. Your routine was amazing girl!!!! You made Dennis and I proud.....let's keep plugging away and add those amazing skills that you have been working on.....Keep your goals high...aim for the Ontario Fitness Champion Title!!!Dennis and I stayed for the awards and then headed on home...thank goodness we got home when we did.... Not five minutes after getting home, our Dog, "Happy" had a major seizure. It was the saddest thing ever...I felt so helpless. The seizure lasted about 10-15 minutes long....and all we could was just hold her and try and calm her down. She was hyperventilating for almost 2 hours and all she wanted was for us to hold her and hug her. We brought her into our bed and she started calming down...We couldn't sleep at all.... we sat up and took care of her and made sure she was ok....it's amazing how you sit there and start analysing what may have triggered the seizure...we have no idea.... In the morning, Happy was back to her old self again...it was like nothing even happened. She was a little tired for the day, but that was it. We will have to keep an eye on her and see if it happens again...hopefully we won't have to deal with it....it's so sad and painful to watch.Sunday morning Dennis and I were back in the gym for another day of mini camps... We really look forward to working with everyone that attends these camps. The girls attending on a weekly basis have made huge progress in strength, physique development, and overall conditioning....the posing sessions are going really well. The girls are starting to look like pros.....Photographer Rick Oliver made an appearance on Sunday and will start shooting some of the girls...awesome!!! We are soooooooooo excited to have Rick work with our athletes. I think the best part of having our camps, is watching all of the friendships develop between the girls....they are all part of our family!!!My cousin Mackenzie is doing better....thank God. He is now out of his coma and is able to speak...his long term memory is there, but is having a hard time remembering any short term events....that's ok...we are so happy that he is improving on a daily basis. He was scheduled for a four hour long operation on his pelvis the other day, but the morning of, the Dr.' s decided not to proceed with it....he will be bed ridden for the next 12 weeks to allow it to heal properly. Mack will remain in the hospital here for the next week or so, and then will be sent back to the St. Catharines hospital for rest and healing....He's a trooper....We love you Mack...God Bless.xoI am really hoping things start improving here.............a lot less stress would be greatly appreciated!!!! I am now 10 weeks out from the All Star Pro Fitness Championships. I will hopefully have 2 new fitness routines...started working some new skills and I'm hoping they will be ready to put in my routines....I will keep you posted on how things are going.I have a few photo shoots scheduled over the next few weeks...I will post a few photos once I have them.Anyways, I think that's it for now.....Have a super week!!!Love Mindi Oxop.s HI MOM!!! I don't always get a chance to speak with my mom during the week, but I know she's been stopping in to check up on me!!! Love you!!xo
