Hi everyone!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My weekend was extremely busy and today I feel like a bag of poop!!! I am exhausted!! (Toughen up!!!)
Last Wednesday my son Alex attended his "first" big trip away from home without us....The grade 8 classes from my son's school went on a two day trip to Ottawa City! Alex was so excited to go...They left for Ottawa early Wednesday morning and didn't arrive home until late Friday evening....I missed him sooooooooo much while he was away. I thought for sure he would try calling us, but he didn't even call once!!! He had a great time, spent most of his money, (on junk of course) and was extremely tired. Alex and his room-mates pulled an all nighter.....Alex was almost grey with a hint of green when we picked him up and all he wanted was his bed! He was so miserable and tired on Saturday. The day was a total write off for him....Dennis and I had to work all day on Saturday at our mini-camps and then off to the Stratford Festival City Championships. The show was a Jamor Productions event, which is always a huge success and events that I always love to attend. I met up with Doug Schneider to preview my newest DVD-All About Mindi-Part 1....So far I love what Doug has done with it.....It will be ready to hit the shelves in June!!! I will keep you all posted when it's ready to go.....
A HUGE congratulations goes out to Cindy Gauthier who won the fitness division on the weekend. Your routine was amazing girl!!!! You made Dennis and I proud.....let's keep plugging away and add those amazing skills that you have been working on.....Keep your goals high...aim for the Ontario Fitness Champion Title!!!
Dennis and I stayed for the awards and then headed on home...thank goodness we got home when we did.... Not five minutes after getting home, our Dog, "Happy" had a major seizure. It was the saddest thing ever...I felt so helpless. The seizure lasted about 10-15 minutes long....and all we could was just hold her and try and calm her down. She was hyperventilating for almost 2 hours and all she wanted was for us to hold her and hug her. We brought her into our bed and she started calming down...We couldn't sleep at all.... we sat up and took care of her and made sure she was ok....it's amazing how you sit there and start analysing what may have triggered the seizure...we have no idea.... In the morning, Happy was back to her old self again...it was like nothing even happened. She was a little tired for the day, but that was it. We will have to keep an eye on her and see if it happens again...hopefully we won't have to deal with it....it's so sad and painful to watch.
Sunday morning Dennis and I were back in the gym for another day of mini camps... We really look forward to working with everyone that attends these camps. The girls attending on a weekly basis have made huge progress in strength, physique development, and overall conditioning....the posing sessions are going really well. The girls are starting to look like pros.....Photographer Rick Oliver made an appearance on Sunday and will start shooting some of the girls...awesome!!! We are soooooooooo excited to have Rick work with our athletes. I think the best part of having our camps, is watching all of the friendships develop between the girls....they are all part of our family!!!
My cousin Mackenzie is doing better....thank God. He is now out of his coma and is able to speak...his long term memory is there, but is having a hard time remembering any short term events....that's ok...we are so happy that he is improving on a daily basis. He was scheduled for a four hour long operation on his pelvis the other day, but the morning of, the Dr.' s decided not to proceed with it....he will be bed ridden for the next 12 weeks to allow it to heal properly. Mack will remain in the hospital here for the next week or so, and then will be sent back to the St. Catharines hospital for rest and healing....He's a trooper....We love you Mack...God Bless.xo
I am really hoping things start improving here.............a lot less stress would be greatly appreciated!!!!
I am now 10 weeks out from the All Star Pro Fitness Championships. I will hopefully have 2 new fitness routines...started working some new skills and I'm hoping they will be ready to put in my routines....I will keep you posted on how things are going.
I have a few photo shoots scheduled over the next few weeks...I will post a few photos once I have them.
Anyways, I think that's it for now.....
Have a super week!!!
Love Mindi O

What awesome news that Mackenzie is out of his coma. Ive kept checking back here regularly to see how you are doing and how your cousin is going. Prayers and best wishes for a fast healing for him.
My friend who has a daughter says that you feel like an arm or a leg is missing when your child is away for a while... sounds like you feel the same!! I bet Alex had a blast though... it sounds like he did!!
I hope your puppy dog is OK... that must have been scary for you. Especially when you don't know what has caused it.
You'll have to let us Aussies know where we can get a copy of your DVD when it comes out too!!
I love that your Mum checks up on you through your blogs... LOL!! I can't get mine near a computer!!
Congratulations to Cindy too... awesome work!!
